Snow and Cold on its Way!

Well there will be no delay
Before we see a snowy day
‘Cause as you can all tell
As our bones start to swell
Those cold days are now here
And it’s not something endear
As it gives many lots of fear!

With just the thought of white
All over the ground in sight
Can drive anyone to go crazy
And even get a little lazy
When there’s not much to do
Unless you skate, ski or skidoo
But still that cold’s with you!

So you better get warm jackets
And put away those racquet’s
Time to get ready for winter
Or better be a fast sprinter
‘Cause you’ll freeze your butts
And toes and even your nuts
Then left behind as cold cuts!

Boots and Jackets on order
Before I have a panic disorder
‘Cause the thought of cold
Snow and winds blowing bold
I included some Long Johns
That are all white like Swans
And even worn by the Fonz!

So I’ll be cool on the outside
And won’t be on the inside
Which is o.k. for any Winter
When that cold comes to litter
I even broke down and got gloves
Nice leather that everyone loves
So I’ll be ready when it shoves!

There’s no better way
To remember our Vets
Those in the Military
So no one ever forgets
Even those in the Marines
Or those in fighter jets!

Lest We Forget!

Keep them in your heart
Remembrance Day’s near
They fought a big part
And battled without fear!

Remember before I depart
Four words I list below
That gave us a free start
As we remember and know!

Our Hero’s gave us Peace
And Freedom on our lands
Terrorist slowly decrease
So applaud with your hands!

‘Cause they gave us Faith
With loyalty and strength
Which caused their death
Fighting at arm’s length!

For a Country they Love
And alive ’cause of thee
This Freedom we speak of
Was done for you and me!

Which gave us all hope
For Peace, Faith and love
In order to help us cope
Like Gods sent from above!

So lets now stand and pray
With a wreath upon a grave
Remember those passed away
Soldiers who fought brave!

As this is their only Fame
So don’t neglect those dead
Or Vets still alive the same
‘Cause they fought and bled.

What is a Paracord Bracelet?

Paracord bracelets are made of parachute cord. Parachute cord is the lightweight rope first used on U.S. paratroopers’ suspension lines during World War II. But the cord (also called “550 cord”) has been used for lots of other purposes since then, not only by the military, but by civil service personnel, survivalists and by civilians in general.

Paracord has even been used by US astronauts during a Space Shuttle mission to repair the Hubble Telescope.

Do Paracord Bracelets Have a Special Meaning?

Paracord bracelets may be used to show support for our military, for public safety personnel, for a cause, such as pink paracord for breast cancer awareness, or almost any cause you might imagine.

Legend has it that someone once said that the colors represent deployment colors and the button represents the uniform worn. When the bracelet is clasped shut, it’s a symbol of an always unbroken circle of friends.

What do you do with a Paracord Bracelet?

Well, of course you can wear these bracelets to show support for a cause, or just because you like the looks of them. Medallions are available for paracord bracelets that include insignias of the branches of the US armed forces as well as for firefighters, EMTs and law enforcement. Now everyone please tell me
Does comfortable clothing

While a cold wind’s blowing?

As I had to ask this question

Even have frost on the ground
And thought, must be a bout!

During this late fall season
Whether on the road or at home
This cold wind could be tough
If not dressed right to roam!

So better to over dress I say
‘Cause you can strip some off
When things start getting hot
To avoid a cold or bad cough!

Remember though, keeping your head
And feet warm with winter boots
Nice helmet and a leather jacket
Pants or chaps wins disputes!

To make for a comfortable ride
But one important one for hands
Is to make sure to have gloves
In order to explore those lands!

Biker Chicks

There’s Biker Chicks
That ride for a good fix
Alone or with their man
Just ’cause they can!

But the most given reason
Is it’s the right season
And that they want too
Just like all of you!

Which is in their blood
To become a bikers bud
So they can ride free
In the open wind, you see!

Dressed in leather chaps
And crests to fill gaps
Stitched on leather vests
In view for all guests!

Signifying its importance
So exposed for a glance
For awareness or a club
That most will never snub!

Especially when on a chick
Who’s in leather so slick
And pants snug and tight
Always gives a nice sight!

Even with leather gloves
That everyone just loves
To keep their hands warm
Or from sweat that forms!

Now when there’s biker girls
You see heads start to twirl
From them looking so fine
In that leather that shines!

That one things for certain
Before this closing curtain
They ride and dress in pride
With many friends beside!

I’m armed and ready
Fully dressed in Camo
To protect this door
With guns full of ammo!

While winds now pick up
The sand starts to blow
Making my vision poor
My shadow starts to glow!

From a spotlights above
That never goes out
And lights me all up
While my enemies about!

Nights are getting colder
Need my scarf and gloves
To protect me from this
When a cold wind shoves!

‘Cause I need to be alert
As no one can get inside
To see behind this door
So need eyes open wide!

As it’s my duty to serve
And to always protect
Especially if top secret
I wont dare neglect!

I serve my country proud
And always here to honor
No matter of the outcome
I will never dishonor!

‘Cause I give my life
And fight for my country
While helping out others
So we can all be free!

Now I know your curious
To what’s behind this door
That I protect so much
Which is prisoners of war!

Not a friend but an enemy
Who really isn’t a guest
‘Cause he wants us all dead
So is why? I guard it best!

The camouflage, or “camo” we’ve all come to know and love actually developed around the time of World War I as a way to not only help hide troops but weapons and other equipment, too. But camo’s history goes way beyond that.

For anyone who’s ever wondered how camouflage came about, there’s a great piece on the History of Camouflage over on Rothco’s blog.

The Rothco post talks about how clothing around the world evolved so that man (not just the military, but all the way back to the cave dwellers) could blend in with his surroundings. Military colors evolved from green to khaki, which dates back to British troops in 1857, who were trying to blend in with the terrain of India.
